Slave Dialect |
Details |
Slave Dialect originiated from the diffferent creole languages that slaves spoke from the start of the Atlantic Slave Trade. It is believed the languages began to mesh together so that the slaves could communicate with each other and their captors. The dialects became more well known at the start of the Civil War. |
