The Harrison Union Veteran Legion was organized in Camden, New Jersey, during the 1888 presidential campaign to support Benjamin Harrison's candidacy. The group was comprised mostly of members of the Grand Army of the Republic and remained a powerful political organization at least into the 1890s, being described in 1892 as the "strongest and most influential organizations of Camden veterans of the [Civil] war."
