The painter, sculptor, and author Agnes Yarnall was born in Drifton, Pennsylvania in 1904. Her grandfather was Ellis Yarnall, one of the club's founders, and her husband, the aeronautic engineer Wynn Laurence Le Page, was a member. She was educated at the Baldwin School in Bryn Mawr, and studied art at the Library Tadd School of Modeling and at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. Yarnall worked with Boris Blai, Paul Manship, and Alexander Archipenko, and opened her own studio in the late 1920s. She lived in Ardmore and exhibited at the Academy in 1930, 1931, 1942, and 1943. Yarnall had her first major exhibition at Ferargil Galleries in New York in 1932. Yarnall died in 1989 in Bryn Mawr. |
