The full transcription for this letter is below: Camp near White Oak Ch [Church] [Virginia] April 26th 1863 Dear Mother, I have only time to write a few hurried lines, we are all packed up ready to march at daylight in the morning. I suppos-e for a fight, I expect to be in the Hospital near the field, I sent $40 dollars home a few days ago, use it for what ever [whatever] you want, I will write as soon as possiable [possible] again Good night God bless you all my love to all Your affectionat [affectionate] Son, Will |
