Title |
Letter from Thomas D. Hazzard to Joseph H. Hazzard |
Scope & Content |
From his station in Washington D.C., Thomas Davis Hazzard writes to his brother to update him on his life. Hazzard talks about visiting his friend Tom Bayle, who lived and worked very close to Hazzard's barracks. Hazzard caught up with Bayle and they were joined by another friend, Jim Ingrham. After that visit, Hazzard's troops were moved from their barracks at Kendall Green to the Rush Barracks near the White House. There they did not have lodging and had to sleep in sheds in the rain. He talks of his allotted down time, but how his busy schedule makes him keep a strict schedule even in his hours off. |
