Title |
Letter from H. A. Moore to his Mother |
Scope & Content |
In this undated letter, likely from Hugh Moore, the brother of Will Moore, the author writes that he was unable to send a letter at Harrisonsburg, so he is writing a few more lines. The Confederates followed his unit from Harrisburg and there was a small Artillery and Calvary fight which the Union won. He saw Will, and said Will got a letter from his mother and pap. He wants his family to send a silk handkerchief because he cannot get a new one at his current location. |

Notes |
This note is likely not from Will but his brother, H. A. M. could mean "Hugh Moore," because Will has a brother by that name. The letter is likely for their mother.
