Orange envelope with image on left side in black ink. Winfield Scott is depicted as an eagle wearing a helmet with (possibly) a palmetto tree attached to the top, protecting the Constitution with a sword on top. A bottle of "WASHINGTON SAUCE." is in between the eagle and a crow that is sitting on a container of cotton. Text underneath reads: "I think you've SAUCE enough, sly bird, And e'er you further go, You'll get some red-hot PEPPER, That will make you 'jump Jim Crow.'" |
