Couch to George Boker, Secretary of the Union League, thanking the Board of Directors for presenting him with The Union League of Philadelphia Silver Medal and freedom of the League House. Couch stated, "May the League be as successful in the future as it has been in the past in its noble efforts to sustain the government, in keeping aflow the spirit of patriotism in its city, and in encouraging loyalty throughout our country." |
