Transcription as follows: [obverse] Head Quarters, Confidential May 5 1863, 6:25 o'clock am The Major General Comdr directs that every vehicle in your command on this side of the river be sent to the North bank without necessary delay under cover of the present fog. He w/ have animals of every kind to the [d?] over also. This of course does not include your necessary artillery and a brig for ambulances.
